Quarter 4 - Lesson 1:
A Detailed Discussion and Review of Morin's Theory of Determination

Quarter 4 introduces the technique of "Differential Diagnosis", a technique meant to sharpen your observational skills. We will start to explain and employ this technique in lesson 3 but first we must have a much more thorough understanding of the relationship that exists between Planets Signs, and Houses. This is the content of the first two lessons of this Quarter.

Lesson 1 of Quarter 4 begins with an indepth study of Morin's Theory of Determination from his 21st of Astrologia Gallica. On the Latin version of the 21st Book, he summarizes his entire tradition in two short highly compact statements, viz: "The Active Determination of the Celestial Bodies and the Passive Determination of the Sublunarary World". In fact these two statements are so highly synthesized as to almost completely obscure.

This lesson will expand upon these two statements in an effort to make these phrases meaningful. Here we have a clear, lucid, and rational discussion of the inter-relationship that exists between Signs, Planets, and Houses, a explanation usually never discussed in contemporary texts of Astrology, or if discussed, it will be in a very superficial, incomplete, or incorrect way
