Quarter 5 - Lesson 3:
Forecasting must be put in context: What factors reveal Motivation and Drive in the Natal Chart?

If we accept the definition of Astrology as the study of Motivation and Drive, then we must be able to detect from the natal chart what to expect during this lifetime for the person before we are able to forecast, irrespective of the forecasting technique employed.

As Zoltan Mason would say often, "Interpretation is an art based on hard facts. We have to know what to expect from a planet. If it's not in the natal it doesn't exist. To know what to expect from a planet is an art. Only if you can find this, can you hope to become an astrologer."

This is the thrust of our lesson: To be able to put a Transit in context, we must be able to detect and appreciate its potential impact based on its natal determinations.

Content for this Quarter on Transits as well as the following quarter, Quarter 6 which is on Solar/Lunar Returns is based on Books 23 and 24 of Morin's Astrologia Gallica.

Both of these volumes are newly translated from the Latin by James Holden and are available now from the AFA bookstore or AstroAmerica.com.
