Quarter 8 - Lesson 1:
Case Studies

Each lesson of this final quarter of our undergraduate program is a case study that begins with a natal delineation which brings together the content from our previous seven Quarters.

Using a case-oriented approach, we then apply in a coordinated fashion the three forecasting techniques used by Morin as drawn from the content of his Books 22, 23, and 24 (covering respectively Primary Directions, Revolutions, and Transits) to illustrate our points. We use as our guide Morin's suggested approach based on his outline in Book 24 Chapter 14. The case studies will be supplemented with charts and histories submitted by students.

The Quarter opens with the study of a very strong, brave, and spirited woman who lost her sixteen year battle to various forms of aggressive cancer in January 2005. She was fighter that did not die easily and until the end and in spite of her mortal ailment she always expressed a positive outlook and was an example of courage in the face of adversity. Cancer and alcoholism are very common in the family line

Coming from a very Catholic family of Irish background, she described her very political Tammany Hall family as filled with many judges and politicians and said many of them were drunks.
