Quarter 8 - Lesson 10: Case Study: Using the Technique of Derivations on a Revolution - Part 2
Lesson 10 concludes the study of derivations to forecast events in Benazir Bhutto's life using the natal and solar charts of Bilawal Bhutto Zadari, the eldest child of Benazir Bhutto.
We illustrate the second step (of the three step process) of delineating a solar by observing how natal influences condition the interpretation of the solar revolution. This second step acts as a means to confirm preliminary observations made when we studied initially the solar influences on the natal. (And of course, the comments made about the study of a solar in conjunction to the natal can be applied to the study of a lunar return chart)
But lesson content aside, the underlying intent of this and last week's lesson has been two-fold: first, to demonstrate Zoltan Mason's comment that 9 out of ten questions asked by a client can be answered by using derivations. Correct and careful use of this technique will go a long way to assist you when asked by a client to comment about something or someone whose chart is unavailable.
And second - to once more belabor a point - the application of derivations to a return chart demonstrates the need for a disciplined approach to practice. The need for solid work habits that encourages you to prioritize, simplify, and economize your observations and thinking as you examine a chart in a structured and systematic manner cannot be overstated. This is an absolute must to protect you from becoming overwhelmed by the additional complexity brought by the return chart or other techniques when used in conjunction with the natal.
To demonstrate this latter point, I suggest that you set up a solar return for a very important event undergone by you in conjunction with some person. This will quickly demonstrate the usefulness of disciplined approach when delineating a revolution.
