Quarter 8 - Lesson 12:
Case Study: On Marriage, Major illness, and Nursing home - Part 2

This two-part lesson covers events common to many many families. We examine the various Solar Returns of a woman that brought the joys of marriage, the disruption of family life through a major illness, and the sadness and despair felt by the need to put a spouse in a nursing home.

As we have done throughout this quarter, we continue to emphasize what Morin calls "concordance" the practical basis for reliable forecasting. We start with the assumption that all prediction is based on a firm understanding of the natal chart, the natal chart itself being the basis for all of life's events. But forecasting, that is the timing of life's events - based on the potential as seen in the birth chart - is a deductive process that begins with the agreement or its lack existing between different causes when applying the various timing techniques.

"An astrologer skilled in the concordance of causes and effects, will only need a few directions to [know] the state of the whole year, that is to recognize the Native's principal changes emanating from the stars in that year." J.B. Morin Astrologia Gallica, Book 24, Progressions and Transits, Page 82

This cooperation or agreement between causes as seen in the different timing techniques to provoke or manifest an event as seen in potential natally is what Morin calls "concordance" or "concordant causes."

We draw our considerations from Morin's Books 22, 23, and 24 of his Astrologia Gallica translated by James Holden.
